Details:Summary:  Under the direction of the San Antonio Vice President of Sales, the sales professional is primarily charged with making outbound calls to established customers and prospects who are members of large New York State professional associations.  The initial goal, in partnership with the sponsored insurance provider, is to sell association-specific medical plans to association membership, primarily sole proprietors and small groups.  This program may expand to other membership groups with similar benefit plan options. Product Features:   USI Affinity has partnered with a prominent New York State insurance carrier to provide association-specific benefit plans to professional associations across the state.  Plan designs are exclusive to association membership and offer unique benefits at competitive rates.  All plans include access to a nationwide provider network and comprehensive medical and prescription drug coverage. Principal Responsibilities: Working from the San Antonio office under the supervision of the sales manager, the sales professional will directly solicit to existing USI Affinity insured customers and new small group prospects. Principle responsibilities include: 1.) Cold-calling prospects and customers to screen, qualify and sell current products appropriate to the size of the group as gathered from internally devised lists. 2.) Explain and discuss product details and follow up on literature previously mailed out to the group. Captures group headcount details and entices managing partner or principal to offer the medical plans to their group’s employees.  Collect renewal dates of prospective groups for future targeting. 3.) Advising contacts about web based information to learn more about products and secures approval to send further details of plans, contract and enrollment information to key contact. 4.) Following-up with prospect as needed to assist in understanding plan details and to assure capture of sale. Also assists with completion of paperwork and proper direction of documents to underwriting. 5.) Developing leads on information for larger groups as arises and alerts sales management of opportunities for other sales colleagues who will contact the client directly as a follow-up.     6.) Accurately recording all order/lead status information in the Company sales tracking system (Sales Logix), including all activity and follow-up details. 7.) Communicating effectively with sales management team about activity status and need for assistance to close a deal as needed.   8.)  Meet monthly and annual sales goals as determined by management.
